There is mention on the forum of garages checking the absorbed water content in brake fluid and so decide on whether the fluid needs changing.

Thanks guys, I was reading on the forum old posts on servicing and was just being inquisitive, I have to do my second service in the next couple of weeks so I intend to do a thorough bleed to flush the old out of the system.

I can't even think of a reason as to want to check this. LR recommend that the fluid is changed every 3 years. So they have obviously given lots of thought in to this.

Even though its in the service book. landrover will only change it if it tests positive to water, and then its an extra charge on the service so most people don't bother.
