i have been told they allow 30 days either side for servicing, though i always try to get it done as close to the day to give them less room to wiggle |

It's 12 months or 15000 miles from each service. |

Yes 12 months or 15000 miles is correct but the question is how strict is the 12 month period between servicing. |

Landrover told me my warrenty on my D2 was void as I had gone past two months but 5k under for its service. |

I think you will find LR are more flexible than you think. It is un reasonable to expect an owner to be able to have a service done exactly a year after the last service.
