Is it true that the Queen only ever drives LandRovers? I know she was a qualified LR mechanic during the war and drives various Defenders, Discos and Range Rovers around the Royal estates and I have never seen her driving anything else.

Wow! Never knew that. As I remember the first Land Rover was made in 1948 and the war had ended in 1945. So there must have been something secret going on - SOE strikes again. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

She used to drive a Jaguar - it was sold in the last few months...had covert blue lights..and a special handbag cubbyhole.

HRH Duke of Edinburgh drives a Freelander..and we have all seen HRH Duke of Cambridge driving a RR!

It wasn't a Majestic, completely different animal, probably a Sovereign. She has had few cars in her time, though lately only seems to drive on her estates in various LR vehicles, I believe a Defender let her down a few years ago my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

She did drive a green vauxhall estate in the 70's. I read that Buckingham palace ordered the vauxhall, vauxhall thought it was Freddy mercury that wanted the car.
