Are seat covers sticky on leather.

Hi,
I got a set of front seat covers recently from LRI (Land Rover interiors) (on Ebay).
Genuine, but discounted.
The fabric is textile on the outer face and smooth waterproof on the back.
I'm wondering if the covers could affect the surface / look of my leather seats in any way.
The waterproof 'reverse' side is rubbery-feeling, very clingy (almost sticky) to touch.
Does anyone have first-hand experience of Genuine front seat covers on to leather front seats? The quick brown fox

I recently bought a new set for my Range Rover Sport, and those work very well. A little complicate to "fit" for the first time but very good results. Both sides are the same material, and full water proof. Non sticky.
Anyway the full set ( front and rear ) for a RRS was around 700€ Big Cry Yuri

I purchased a full set of LR waterproof seat covers from the UK and saved myself about $300 compared to local dealer price . To answer your question they do eventually stick to the leather, however it does non seem to effect it if you clean and condition the leather once or twice a year .However the problem that I had was that the covers only lasted 18 months before the material ripped and frayed making the covers useless,This may have been caused by the fact that we live in the tropics and sweat quite profusley during the wet season ie clothes completly wet and sweat and dripping from limbs .I replaced the covers with a set of non genuine covers from ebay UK that looked exactly the same and made from same material at half the price .Regardless of the short life if you do any off road or outside work you need covers to protect the leather .

Thanks, both, for your replies.
So, I will clean and condition the leather seats before I fit the covers.
Maybe, then, the ones I bought were discounted as being old stock ... The quick brown fox

I've had the genuine seat covers since I bought my LR2 in OCT 2007. The leather looks brand new. The inside just started to delaminate a bit, but no harm to the seat. I glued some terry towels to the inside and they still protect just fine.
