It can only invalidate the warranty if anything they do causes a fault, this would also have to be proved that it was caused directly from the work done. If the wiring loom melts because something they did has earthed out, or the Body Control Module goes up and it can be proved that its is down to the work that's been done then yes. |

Whilst it won't invalidate a warranty, having towbar electrics fitted using a bypass relay will invoke a poor dealer response if in the future your car happens to suffer from any electrical gremlins.

Thanks for replies, but I would expect a reputable , established Towbar company to know what they are doing. Perhaps I won't get one fitted, if it going to be a problem. There were no probs with the wifes 07 Saab, but it was out of warranty.
