I went from 17 to 19, there is a very slight increase in the harshness in the ride but it does feel more planted on the road.

Thanks for the replies! I was prefering to go 18" but the selection for proper landy tyres seems to be far better for 19". I'll have to have some more thought on it |

17's or 19's makes no difference to the filling of the arches. The overall diameter of 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20" tyres is pretty much identical.
