Wheel Arch Rubbers?

Question Just been inspecting the car in readiness for our holiday in a couple of weeks and noticed that the rubbers that go inside the wheel arches (metal part) have swollen and distorted, actually starting to fall off in places. There are 4 pieces approx 500mm long and 2 pieces approx 750mm long - can anyone tell me if they are LR part numbers or just a bulk product purchased on a roll? Cheers,
Raz

According to someones post back in 2011

Quote:
The Part numbers are;
LLR026342 £5.64 (Front nearside with seal portion)
LLR001623 £3.83 (Front offside) aparently can be used on either O/S or N/S but has no extra seal.
LLR001624 £3.83 (Rear)
LLR005165 £10.41 (Rear)

I suggested getting the longer ones and cutting to length.

I also used some black sealant on the ends (someone elses suggestion Thumbs Up ) to help stop degradation.

The long ones are LR001623

I bought a set of 6 and was amazed to find they were all EXACTLY the same profile/design - just different lengths Confused 2002 Honda VFR800

I've had problems with these too, and my F2(MY11) is only 18 months old.

Curious though why the NSF has a 'seal ' attached - I wondered if somebody had in fact fitted a piece of door surround to mine at the factory rather than the proper part! Anyway I've replaced the the dodgy NSF trim with the 'non - seal' version.

PS My wife has an F2 (60 plate but MY10) and this has had the non seal version fitted from new. So a total conundrum!

Update:

A big thanks to Dan @ Duckworths - stunning service as always.
Ordered the new rubbers on Wednesday and they arrive Saturday morning - now fitted Thumbs Up

IanH - the 'doorseal' as you said is the N/S front rubber and the extra 'tube' section seals the gap and prevents water from travelling up into the engine bay and air filter. I've got the same on the O/S too, although the old ones were the non-seal type - maybe LR have changed their minds at some stage about fitting them? Cheers,
Raz

Why wouldn't you get these replaced as a warranty repair? The map is not the territory

I noticed that mine also has the seal version of the nsf wheel arch protector, not sure why it is there but must be for a reason as the older versions of the FR2 does not have this seal.

Anyway for your information the part number is LR031593, I bought a spare and cost me £7.67 including vat, kinda expensive for what it is Sad
