Front towing eye

In the manual it states that I have to remove a cover to access the towing eye, but I can see a metal ring at the bottom of the plastic cover. Is this the towing eye or just a lashing point?

It's the towing eye, but access is restricted by the plastic cover. To avoid damage to the cover it's best removed when using the towing eye.

Very, just a quarter turn of the 2 knobs on each side of the plastic cover, and if off-roading it's suggested that you remove it before you start so that you don't have to grovel too much in whatever you've got stuck in when attaching the tow rope!

Yup - stuck up to your axles in mud really isn't the time to realise you need to get the cover off!
