Watched a recording of Sherlock last night.
Thought the show was very weak indeed.
There's more suspense in a washing machine and deeper mystery in a Dyson.
Disused Tube stations are old hat detective stuff.
John is far better in the Hobbit films - an accomplished film actor.

It's a bit crap tonight. Not up to usual standards and the wedding and cases referred to by Sherlock are monotonous

Sorry Doc... have to disagree. I thought it was amusing, witty, well scripted. A decent evening's entertainment.

It has to be bad for me to criticise it because I think overall it is brilliant. Don't get me wrong, huge praise for Cumberpatch and Freeman with great chemistry and it ended well but it just dragged and wasn't half as engaging as when he's out solving a case like last week.

Steven Moffat is one of the brains behind both Sherlock and Doctor Who and there are some episodes of that which drag a bit even for me as a big fan (like you couldn't guess) but when Moffat is on form, he's a genius.  LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Basically I go along with your comments re yesterday (here in CH) screening, but, there were some good points:

Sherlock's "Best Man" oration was a Shakespearean disquisition worthy of Macbeth.
Watson's bride (in real life his wife) is developing into a sublime literary foil for the detective and doctor.
And I see Molly entering the fray dumping Jack the Beanstalk trying secure Sherlock's betrothal.

But on a different trail - The Bridge 2 has started off in fine form, superbly paced, deliciously scripted, threatening and very probable.
