Land Rover is working with Intel and Samsung for next generation vehicle infotainment system. Announced a while ago but not seen here. There were Apple rumours before but now they are setting up a new division in the U.S. to build it. They plan on using Samsung's new Tizen OS.

As a follower of such things I'm still to be convinced by Tizen.... just feels like another RIM OS disaster to me currently.

The worry with Samsung is not what they tell it can do, but what they don't tell you it can't do. What you think would be obvious generally is not included unless specifically included in what it will do my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I have a problem with 'integrated' systems tbh as I have said before because of the reliance of some of these systems in to the mechanicals. I've had this first hand by needing a radio replacing before the gear box could be reprogrammed ( at a dealers - Vauxhall BTW ).
