Exactly the same happened to mine. Was something to do with an actuator. Took a couple of days to fix as the dashboard had to be removed and then they had an issue with programming the motors. Hope you get it sorted soon. |

The clue is that the temperature goes up when you are stopped so a cooling fan or sensor has failed. The air conditioning condenser is between the grill and the radiator. Not sure if it has it's own fan but there are two fans on the back of the radiator. |

Thank you Oldgeezer... Ill be getting a diagnostic check before ordering anything. Is it a big job to replace the fan speed controller in terms of labour time & parts? |

I think its one of those 5 minute jobs, i don't know how much the part was as mine were all done under warranty ! |

Just had a diagnostic check done and nothing was identified - well nothing relating to heating and ac xxx codes were identifed eg B1165 front left puddle lamp output, B1C13 drivers up down mirror motor feedback circuit,B1C14 drivers up down mirror motor feedback circuit, B1C15 passenger up down mirror motor feedback circuit,B1C16 passenger up down mirror motor feedback circuit, UO163 Lost comms with navigation control module, UO184 Lost comms with audio unit, UO197 Lost comms with telephone control module & finally UO257 Lost comms with front controls display interface module.

Hi as for the fan - with engine running and A/C switched on you should hear or see the fan is running.It may take few moments to start the fan and it can also run intermitently but should be running did you check that ?

cooling fan faults come under engine ECU faults not heating & ventilation !
