Later models had sat nav on the XS model without the glass roof. Don't know if the older SE model had sat nav without the glass roof, I'm sure someone on here will know. |

Mine's a 2008 model. Satnav still works fine and there have been no leaks.

Overtime sunroofs will all start to leak at some point in their life regardless of what brand of car has them fitted MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I have an 08 SE with sat nav and sun roof. There have not been that many posts re sun roof troubles over the past two years or so. As I remember, there was one with shattered glass and maybe one or two with drain tube blockage. Not a significant problem so far. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

The design is made in that way that even if the drainage is blocked, if the car is level, there will be no leak and/or water ingress.

Sorry, but that is a totally misleading and inaccurate statement. Whilst I agree that cars in the 80's/90's would have suffered with perimeter seals perishing over time, the design and technology has moved on significantly from those days...now, there is no rubber to be seen on hardly any of them, as the new cradle has been adopted by most if not all major manufacturers, from Audi to Kia. This enables a sunroof to look like a seamless piece of glass, with all the drainage channels hidden from view. The net result is that sunroofs in modern cars do not leak, and in LR's case, have been tested to extremes that the average Joe will never expose their vehicle to. Why scaremonger? It's not necessary!! The roof does not open which makes it easier to keep sealed. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

That thread seems to refer to a roof which opens. Different design back then? 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

Irrelevant thread, why quote it? I find it hilarious that two of the biggest "posters" that have an opinion on absolutely every thread on here don't even own the damn car! Until such times, posting about something that is pure conjecture is hardly beneficial to members that do, or are thinking about buying one is it? Food for thought..... So, basically two of them have leaked. Ooh, I'd stay well away from a car with a sunroof in that case. And ones with engines and gearboxes and wheel bearings and brakes and steering because using the same argument, they'll all go wrong at some point in their life.
