Sounds like a dodgy connector - standard problem on Disco2 (big yellow connectors behind gluv box and under n/s fron seat), but don't know if it's common on the Freelander. Worth locating connectors and checking them WITH THE IGNITION OFF. |

Have recently had this one. Was a bit of a problem to find due to being intermittent, so dealer had 3 attempts to put right. Last time the light was on when it went in and was a bad connection on the multi plug under the seat. They also replaced the seat belt tensioner on the drivers side due to it showing high resistance. Everything ok now. Remember there are never problems, just new challenges |

I think the confusion about bulb testing is because the warning light illuminates when you switch on the ignition to confirm that particular warning light is functioning as opposed to as an indication that another light is not working.

Car went into the dealers on Friday and got it back on Saturday with the fault identified but not fixed, apparently the computer showed a fault code for the driver's airbag sensor. The dealer did order a replacement part but apparently they are on back order and as of this morning Land Rover are forecasting a delivery date mid to end November.

I did suggest that, but was told that once fitted to a vehicle they are programmed to the set up of that particular cars computer and can't then be fitted to any other car.

Hmmm I keep getting intermitant air bag lights. It goes in tomorrow to be looked at along with a list of other stuff!!! I too plan to go on holiday at the end of the month where I'll be driving 600 odd miles on motorways! I wonder if they will offer me a replacement car...

charrodine I think the main reason I am getting a temporary replacement car is because I specifically asked the Service Manager at my dealership if he would be happy driving his wife and family about for 1000 miles in my car and as a result of his answer he really was obliged to argue the point with L R.

As I wrote above, ignition OFF, then locate the connector under the front seats and give it a wiggle to restore connectivity. That is the most likely cause. I believe the computer will store an airbag fault, so the dealer will try to sell you an expensive repair. |

cheers wiggling the plug seems to have cured an airbag warning light on my car, it was actually a bit slack, I think due to Mrs G storing a bag full of stuff under the seat, I lower the seat right down to drive At work
