Its just been debated on the radio, lots of people don't like horses on the Jeremy Vine show. I grew up in East Yorkshire and there were many horse riders about, I always try and give as much room to horse riders as I can. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Welcome to my Consultation CG, your hatred of horses, could be a deep routed subconscious related to many years ago, they were harnessed to Carriages, today we see very few of these, replaced by a Caravan, mmm from previous discussions you have a similar feeling of hatred of these harmless items. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

Reading the report in the link provided, without wishing to typecast, but, Audi, teenager, already 3 points, car way over what a normal young driver would have, Daddy bought it, driving like a ok the rider contributed to this but the Audi driver fired the first shot, but I think the rider was treated badly, the driver is a . IMHO.

Some horse riders, it must be said, are as bad as Audi drivers. I lived for a while near the racing stables in the Lambourn/Newbury area, and some of the stable lads there are a nightmare - they're aggressive, ride around in packs, and don't even try to make room for the traffic. Not all, by any means, but more than the odd one.

I have all the time in the world for a horse and it's rider but none for a cyclist. At least horse riders try and keep to the rules of the road but cyclists are a law into themselves. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

I always give way to animals in the road, be it horses, cows or sheep better than one landing on your bumper or worse in the cabin on top of you

I think the age of the Audi driver and inexperience certainly had a large part to play in this case, obviously not helped by the reaction of the rider.

CG, do you thank motorists for their patience when stuck behind you for miles on end?
