Freelander can go up to 500mm in static water, 2013RR can do 900mm in offroad height. previous RR could do 700mm in offroad height/

Looking at the video, the FL2 may make it depth wise, however, without the ride height and possibly weight it may be a handful, Npinks 'floated' his in deep water across a lake, float on fast running water and your in trouble.

I'm told the reason for the 500mm wading depth on the Freelander is because around 600mm the rear end starts to float. 2011 MY SD4 HSE + planning some interesting stuff

The thing to remember is that every cubic metre of water pushing against the vehicle weighs one tonne. Freelander doesn't need to float before the weight of water could push it sideways or backwards. Water going over the bonnet is not a good idea even though the engine air intake is on the passenger side front wing.
