Upgreade to 18" or 19" alloys

I currently have 17" alloys on my GS. I am thinking of upgrading them to either 18" or 19" alloys Cool . Is there anything that needs to be re programmed in the car to be able to accept the larger wheel?

No. They should have the same rolling diameter.

Nope, larger wheels, smaller tyres, it all evens out. Thumbs Up

My MY10 had 19" wheels which looked good but had a hard ride. My MY13 has 18" which give a nicer ride. I don't know if there are any other factors involved.

Stick with the 17" and high profile tyres to soak up all those winter potholes.

topaz,
I went from 16"s to 18"'s. Slightly firmer ride, than the 16"'s. More grip now & look alot better Laughing Was like driving on a sofa with the 16's Laughing Plenty of meat on the tyres, giving a soft ride. Landy has now gone.

Guess it is all in the head, but what looked better the 18s, 19s or 20s?

Just fitted my Genuine HSE's (mark1) with my Winter Nokians, I would say the ride is a little firmer, but perfectly acceptable Thumbs Up

What style 17's do you have? I have 19's and might be up for a trade.......
