I made an earth strap "fitted from the negative side of the battery to the top of the engine block" a few years back i have never had a cold starting or any other problems with the electrics since, give it a go you have nothing to loose. |

Just ordered one from Dan at Duckworths. For anyone interested the part number is LR013839 and they take a couple of days to get in as they are not stocked.

Fitting two earth cables used to be part of standard Automotive design practice. If one becomes high resistance or detached, the engine keeps running.

How hard a job is it to fit a earth strap? Do you have to go underneath the engine or is it something you can do with the bonnet up? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
