Interesting.... I'm considering it my self not due to start up probelms ( at the moment ) but I think the same issue is having an effect on my radio. Some times when starting after not been used for a bit the amp will not power up right so I get no sound. Solution turn the CAR off and retry.

The extra Earth Strap is so cheap to fit and so easy to install.

Ah well that answers my question then. Think this has to be an idea that's worth trying given it costs virtually nothing and might just prevent issues and problems in the future. |

Please may I recommend that the proper choice for the engine end of the new auxiliary earth strap should be one of the two starter motor bolts.

Are there any pictures of the land rover fitted strap? If they are factory fitting them surely they must have a part number?

it seems strownrow had to snip the eye open to fit it over the earth bolt. not a big problem but a slighty larger eye would be better.
