1. know your customer.

Round here 90% of the farmers drive Defenders. They put sheep in the back, feed, dead things.

Whatever that is it is not fit for purpose.

I heard on the grapevine that Kia were going to come up with something 'defender-eque' but have heard no more.

No decision has been made on what is going to replace the Defender when production of it stops in late 2015. I'd be surprised if we see a replacement until about 2017.

The DC100 was confirmed to be scrapped at the start of this year, it will not be the replacement for the Defender.

I will never forget the moment they unveiled it. I felt completely misunderstood as a Defender owner. The only words to come out of my mouth apparently were

"but, its got paint on the rims.... what?"

Fell in love with the Jag the unveiled afterwards though : )

DC100 or something similar might still appear but not as a Defender replacement.

Not a Discovery. If it comes at all, likely to be a new model added to the range.

Apparently the California beach set were quite taken with DC100.

Where did you hear this?

You are in fact saying that a freelander replacement will be here soon. Because the DC100 would not be a suitable replacement for anything else?

Even if there will be a defender replacement, it will not be here in 2015 when they produce the last Defender, or we would have heard something before now.

Have a look at the article on the Daily Mail website, pretty much confirms what I said. ( www.dailymail.co.uk )

Defender replacement is not likely to appear much before 2017
