I see a few currently for sale in the UK via the dealer network... certainly is rare though.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Pre-facelift 2012MY had a spoiler as standard on HSE Lux but it was reduced to the options list when the 2013MY HSE Lux was launched.

The rear spoiler 'may' be added as standard from XS up from the 2015MY next September as part of a re-jig of specifications to keep the public interested for the Freelanders final year.

Then it's bye bye Freelander for ever! It's a shame as I think the Freelander name has become a sign of a good car.

But.................. As the replacement is being built under the Discovery brand, could we see. Discovery Freelander! In the same way we see. Range Rover Evoque!! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I've just, well 3 hours ago picked up my new to me Freelander and so far I'm delighted despite some mixed feelings of part ex'ing my Mercedes SL for it. My dealers given me a letter promising to supply and fit the missing trim and so all is well. I would like to say that my dealer made the whole taking delivery experience an absolute pleasure.

Guy Salmon, Maidstone. I only go on people and companies as I find them and so far these guys have been exemplary and a pleasure to deal with.

unfortunately not, apart from there are several idea's on the table and nothing has been decided.

If I remember rightly, the Evoque name was only decided on a few months before launch. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I'd really not worry about a bit of easily retrfitted trim.

These cars are built for various markets, it was early in the spec's production life, specs vary.

Its a used car afterall. If you'd spec'd it from new and it arrived without the kit, then yes there is an issue.

But cars and specs vary. My MG is a classic example. Factory owned, and built allegedly for one of the "Phoenix 4" it has every option, but no traction control. It has parts on it that only LHD cars have, and mismatched door cards, they should be blue and grey but they are just grey. It is completely original, but has a mismatched spare alloy.

All very odd, especially as cars built - not registered - before it have facelift front ends, probably retro fitted.

I assume Halewood operates in a Just in time fashion. Maybe the trim didn't make it just in time and as the car was for the LR management, demo or press fleet, they left it at that. 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE

2007 Mazda CX-7 2.3T Petrol (Still in the family)
2004 MG ZT-T 180 + V6 Monogram
2011 Mazda MX-5 1.8 Miyako (PX'd for the Landie)
Others of the past of note have included
MGTF 160, MGF, Ford Puma, Volvo V40 T4, Volvo 940 Wentworth, Rover R8, Volvo 360 GLT, Chrysler Horizon GLS.
