The product has been divided into segments / Year of Manufacture (MY), suggesting there's quite a bit of difference between them? MY10 TD4 SE Auto |

Alex, have you used your FCR unit much? I am thinking of getting one, and trying to gauge how much use it will get.... MY10 TD4 SE Auto |

Seems the MSV only covers up to MY2012.I could not see anything for MY2013 onwards. |

Occasionally, let's say once a month. Normally if all works OK on the car, you don't need it. Therefore used rarely and then only by curiosity to see if all is OK. And be aware, the FCR will lock on your VIN and you won't be able to use it on other cars and help friends for example. If you want to have something for diagnosing any LR and Jaguar from 2005 onwards, also consider this: http://www.eobd2.com/wholesale/jlr-mangoos...rover.html I have one and it functions fully (with the patch included) without missing a bit. And also applying the patch here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic17185.html , you will have the opportunity to do much more than the FCR at a much lower price. Indeed the FCR is a portable and quick and easy to use fault code reader, but in my opinion is a little overpriced for just reading and erasing fault codes. I was lucky and I found one on ebay, at half price, on a stock liquidation. That was indeed a good price. |

I've flashed the 1.9 firmware.

So does that mean that problems with FCR still exist?

FCR is working much better than last time. But still has errors in decoding DTCs.

The patch is on one of the DVDs, the main one, as the other two are with firmware of different ECUs for LR and Jaguar.

So, after initial setup, will the SDD program allow me to run a simple scan, and present to me any error codes and their decoded meaning as FCR would? MY10 TD4 SE Auto |

As I've said, there is an error and information collecting stage at the beginning.
