The tour guide said they had 10 years work ahead, I suppose with the new 7 seat Evoque and convertible coming along! the next Freelander which we assume will be a Halewood car? And the possibility of the Jaguar SUV being built there, the future looks good.

On a serious note.
Although we paid for the event, I hope you all agree that LRE looked after us. For those who've never been inside a vehicle assembly plant, the cost was worth it for the tour alone.
So  to LRE who also provided a 9 speed camera loaded 2014MY Evoke.

I hope Tata give Halewood some investment to help secure the plants future.
I think I said something along those lines last time we went. If Tata have told the workforce that they are safe for at least two years, then I'd hope so.
However, it would seem that with the volumes being sold, efficiency isn't a real problem.
For now.

Pegleg I am sure the LRE guy said that they have told the workforce 10 years.

All we needed was some milk Whistle

If the large Tesco in a down-town part of Liverpool had not frustrated me by only selling twin packs of the biscuits I had agreed to bring and having to wander up and down several isles' looking for a staff member I would not have forgotten the milk. However as Taz said he and I were OK with black coffee.

I for one was more than grateful for a brew as I was dry as a nuns crouch. So Thumbs Up to Taz and Bill. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Thanks Paul for organising, you and Bill for drinks after arriving, Greg for the ginger cake my wife devoured when I got home, Andy for the chutney, thanks again for the cheese and someone will have to remind me who it was who handed me that delicious pastry and the Fisherman's friends as we were rushing to set off to the factory, thank you anyway.

Hope you all got home safely, the traffic on the M60/62 around Manchester was horrendous.

I could spend all day watching our cars being made, fantastic day out Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Well, when I eventually got home last night, I opened a nice bottle of Carmen鑽e, and proceeded to quaff it, along with Taz' cheese and Andy's brewery chutney. Being the FB that I am, I wolfed the lot, and can happily report that it was damn delicious!! The wine wasn't bad either Laughing Foraging near Gaydon....

Was a pleasure to have you along, as it was with everyone. Thumbs Up

Looking at Gaydon for next year already, more central, I will look at various options as they seem to have many, if anyone has anything to add let me know.
