Ahh...right. Thanks for that.

So, I would clay before SRP, then wax?

Do a search on this forum.
I did a post 'Claying your car'.
All is explained. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Last wee I took the previous car to the car wash. I thought it was time to remove the last traces of the mud from off-roading in June before asking for trade-in prices.

I think in 6 1/2 years of ownership it was probably washed no more than 20 times, and hoovered every couple of years whether it needed it or not.

With a tan leather interior, the FL2 will need a bit more attention to avoid completely wrecking it, but OCD I ain't.

Talking of which, does anyone have a good recommendation for leather cleaning products, particularly something that will remove denim dye from the seat?

Thought I'd post a few photos of my 6hr detailing session

Usually keep on top this cleaning lark , but the last few weeks either the weathers been poor or we've been away

So took advantage of today's weather and started with this

Finishing with this

Beautiful job but I can never be arsed with the amount of time or money required to get the car that shiney.

I got the Disco 2 covered in mud in June. SWMBO asked me if I was cleaning it before we went to her brother's wedding. I replied "if we're going in a clean car, we're going in yours". And we did. 2011 MY SD4 HSE + planning some interesting stuff

Some mods were fitted by myself with help from a site member and the rest were done by Team Valley Land Rover when the car was in for servicing, all in all took about 8 months

A few parts came from ebay like the front bumper and colour coded door handles, the spoiler was from Italy bought from a seller on here and the chrome Arse Piece was bough from Dan at Duckworths
the scary bit was drilling the additional holes for the CAP, not a good feeling drilling in to an expensive motor Laughing Laughing Laughing

Give it a day or two and all yesterdays good work will be undone Very Happy

Just finished giving my one a wash, long over due.

Disaster struck though, I've run out of tyre dressing. So the car looks spotless but has grubby looking tyres. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
