NPower Billing

Anyone had problems with NPower bills lately?

I moved house in Jan this year and haven't had a bill from them yet. I've sent in regular meter readings which have been ignored for some reason which they admit.
When I set up a new account with them, the amount they fixed was far too low so I rang them and increased it because I was concerned I'd end up with a large bill when the account was sorted.

I've complained to them a month ago and rang today to be told it's still not sorted due to their own internal problems.

I think this maybe a case of breach of contract let alone showing due responsibility to a customer. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Yeah sounds like NPower, did a similar thing with me when I first moved then hit me with an end of year bill for £580, I refused to pay it as I told them there estimates etc were wrong eventually after many months agreed to pay half @ £10 a month or take me to court they settled for my £10 payments but were not happy about it.

Moved to Scotish Power had no issues. I would burn peat and wood before I went with NPower again HSE TD4 Stornoway Grey ★ Rear Spoiler ★ Black Leather Interior ★ Panoramic Roof ★ Navigation with Bluetooth ★ 19 " Alloys ★ Alpine Stereo 10 Disc Auto changer and Ipod connection and lots of other nice toys ★

I would rather c**p on my hands and clap

I had no end of much the same problems with um as regards billing, Next thing you know they will try to charge you £50 for late payment like they did me.

Thanks for all your 'positive' remarks Rolling with laughter

I set up a direct debit with them, they've taken the money out of my bank account but not used it to pay for energy, it's still sitting in my NPower account as 'Credit'.

I feel like ditching them but I don't think that'll do any good.
Might as well keep complaining, then threaten with mis-selling, breach of contract and failure to provide a duty of care.

Right bunch of tossers Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

There is only one thing worse than NPower and that's when you leave British Gas and move to NPower. The 5 ring circus I had when I did that was extraordinary. They couldn't sort out the change over readings between them despite my repeated sending of the figures. Then I started getting inaccurate bills from both (both sets much higher than they should have been).
In the end I sent both an ultimatum of using the readings submitted by myself or I was off to the ombudsman and as much negative publicity as I could drum up.
That sorted it, I paid both what I owed and moved to Scottish Power who are still offering the best deal for me and have been pretty reliable and straight forward to deal with.
