I have recently changed my phone to an HTC Desire S and while it pairs no problem and I can make and receive calls except I cannot access the phonebook even after it shows that it is copying from the phone. When I try to delete what is already on the head unit there is a padlock sign that does not allow me to delete. Am I missing the obvious or does this have to go into the dealers to unlock this option. Any info would be great help as I can only make calls by typing in the phone number instead of going through the phonebook. |

It might be down to whether your phonebook is on the phone memory or simcard. Changing from one to the other solved a similar problem I had but on a different phone. Also worth checking your phone is fully compatible with the system in the car.

I have tried all the suggestion but still no joy.It looks like it will have to be a trip to the dealers to get a software update or just continue to use the keypad which is not very handy. Thanks anyway for the advice. |

I had a similar problem with my car showing padlocks so i couldn't update/delete certain phone settings. I ended up having to buy a new Bluetooth module for mine |
