I'm curious to know how others feel about the wet weather ability of the FL2.

In the dry they are very good, little bit of flex but that's just the size of the sidewalls (17" wheels). Can drive just about the same rate as my last Focus hatch.

The car is dictating the pace, and I do drive slower. When driving in rain or on a wet road the FL2 will lose the feeling in the front wheels so it doesn't feel great, and this at a much lower speed than my prevous car. Even in torrential rain the Focus had very good feedback from the steering and wouldn't be provoked into a slide.

Its not a versus i'm talking about though. I'm well aware of the different requirements of the two.

that does sound pretty poor - methinks I will avoid Hankooks when the time comes to re-shoe mine!

Sounds like the tyres to me. Just spent the week in Argyle. Wet most days. The standard Wranglers performed well both on the fast smooth roads and the narrower twisty bits. Good feel all round and kept up well with the mad locals. |

Hello all. Just to say that 12 months ago I fitted General Grabber UHP. I have found these tyres to be very good in all conditions and wear very well.
