I have gone the opposite! from 17" standard wheels to 19" wheels without any issue, I don't believe there is a lot of difference in the overall size due to the 19" having a lower profile tyre Black FL2

Someone put up a list of 17" rims that fit an FL2. From memory, Mondeo and Volvo XC60 rims fit. There are others as well. |

If you have an I6 model then there is a limit to the wheel size due to larger brake discs to the diesel models

16's will fit on a diesel but 17 is as low as a petrol can go due to the brakes....I think |

I swapped 19inch factory rims for 17inch rims recently. No problems at all (just the expense of the tires!)

I fitted a set of 17 landrover rims and 235/65/17 pirelli scorpians that I found for sale on the explorz site ,they are exactly the same dia as the 19s and work well .If you keep looking around long enough you should find a set of 17s but they are rare .Cooper tyres now make an AT tyre to suit the 19 inch rims .check their site . I checked prices and they were reasonably priced and cheaper than the road tyres .

Looking for some 17" rims to fit AT tyres and will be selling (or will do a partial swap if somebody has 5 x 17" wheels) them shortly. Shod with OEM Conti Cross Contact 235/55/19 2 with 90%, 2 with 50%, full size spare has 40%, minor curb marks on 2 rims but I will likely get them repaired prior to sale. 11MY SE SD4 in Lago Grey just arrived with a free Garmin thrown in! This could be the start of a beautiful relationship (I'm an eternal optimist, and former FL1 owner)! |
