Hi, its likely to be natural errors in the panel pressing operation. The rear quarter panel is a design artists dream and a manufacturing engineers nightmare. I am making pressed panels at home for Austin J40 pedal cars with home made tooling and press; wherever you try and stretch metal from the flat sheet it pulls stress in all sorts of directions leaving odd creases and bits that have excess metal that pings if you push it.

If you really like perfect bodywork you ought to be buying a Rolls Phantom and spending 250 grand for it, we're talking Land Rover here which is a bit rough a**e to start with. |
