Dog guard fittings

picked up a sh genuine guard off ebay,
I dont have the 2 bits of bent tin that fixes to the lower mounts, anyone got a pair? or even measurements as it cant be too hard to knock a pair up from flat bar,

its the S shaped bits that fit permenently to the car,

The bent piece is approx 25 mm wide plated steel angled out at approx 45 degrees and then back in by the same angle to form a flat parallel with the first face. The length of the two end faces is approx 25mm each and the centre (sloping) face is also approx 25mm. So you would have to start off with a piece of steel at least 80mm long to allow for bending. Mine is about 3mm thick. The holes at each end are in the centres of the two flat 25 X 25mm faces. One has a captive nut but you could get away with drilling an M8 clearance hole and nut and bolt.

Do you already have the flat piece about 140mm long by 30mm wide with a hole at each end that fits to this? It also stays in the car when the guard is removed.

England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Fuji White

I bought a second hand dog guard and the same pieces were missing. With the rear seats in place you do not need to secure the guard to the luggage anchoring points (load securing ring) as the guard stays in place due to the tight fit of the brackets which rest on the interior trim adjacent to the window. With the rear seats flat then I use cable ties attached to the guard and load securing rings.

I bought mine as a cargo barrier to pack all the holiday luggage right up to the roof lining. It works well and doesn’t rattle even when unsecured. A Land Rover owner since 1988

From a 1974 series III to a 12MY XS FL2 with help of a 1995 D1, 1996 D1, 2005 D3, 2007 D3 and a 2009 FL2.
