Slaney, I might be wrong and if I am has anyone got the correct answer but I thought there was a tolerance on speed limits/fines of 10% plus 3mph meaning you've got to do 36 in a 30 to get points? Sorry for going off topic! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

If you are insured with Admiral the add £25 if you've been on a speed awareness course Thud

Due to doing 33 in a 30 and the wife was done for 34 in a 30 so £50 was added making mine just under £400.
IIRC Tandem Man was done for 31 in a 30, mitigating circumstances cut no ice.

The tolerance of + 3 went when they let he boys in blue keep the money from speeding. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I know what you mean about dangerous speeding but it will become a cash cow for anyone who is caught a couple of mph over the limit. It sounds like its going down the same route as parking fines now! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Yes, which usually means if caught at 34 your speedo will be near 40.
Travel at 25-30 and you wont get done, everyone seems to feel persecuted for travelling a few mph over 30 but no one seems to think travelling a few mph is acceptable?
I am not defending speed limits as in a lot of cases they are simply wrong, I drove through London a few weeks back, Lewisham area I think it was, 20mph limit with speed cameras!! now that was hard work.

If you read the policy documents of the various cheap policy's carefully you will find that most of them have a clause stating something along the lines of "We may use non OEM or reconditioned (IE. second hand parts) when repairing your vehicle after a road traffic collision".

Land Rover insurance actually state in their documents that they will always use OEM parts.
