Have read the small print in the LRA bumf and it states they cannot guarantee like for like, but doesn't seem to say it will b a Land Rover.
Interesting regarding the insurance as Enterprise would not let me have the car without MY insurance details and then wanted £5 day for collision damage waiver.
Might stick a few litres of my brothers red diesel in it when it goes back Censored

did you phone LandRover assist or is it a loan car from a LandRover dealer as this might be the difference? 1995 P38 now dead

Originally phoned dealer who advised to call LRA, it is LRA who arranged the loan car.
The dealer has Freelander loan vehicles Evil or Very Mad

Enterprise are adamant they don't have to supply a Land Rover, I can't imagine someone having spent £100k on a Range Rover being pleased with Enterprise turning up with a Vauxhall Corsa, it was the only Auto they could supply, what would have happened if I was unable to drive a manual?
When your car breaks down you would expect the manufacturers to be a little more attentive, I have had a LRA technician who diagnosed a wheel bearing, the garage diagnosed the diff and a car hire company who do not return calls until the last hour of the day when it's too late to do anything about it.

I now have a phone number for LRA in Stockport, a phone line dedicated for feedback. I will wait until my car is returned, then give them a call.

i will be interested to see what reply you get from LandRover when you complain as this will have a bearing on what option i take when its time for extended warranty because there is no way i am going to accept a boy racers car when and if mine breaks down, as i see it i purchased a LandRover and expect to drive a LandRover 1995 P38 now dead
