Toyota do a 5 year warranty as standard now.

Also, "no character, no fun to drive, like most Jap cars". I guess you've never driven a Japanese car that isn't a Prius then... Laughing

Those Nissan GTRs, Honda S2000s, Toyota Supras, MR2s and that new GT86 must be so boring. The ready out of the box drift cars like the 180sx or 240sx clearly have no character.
And don't even get me started on Mazda and their world best selling roadster or their rotaries!!
You statement is probably true for Korean cars, but let's leave the Japanese out of this, they've earned it.

yep, I have had Hondas before, very reliable, not much character in their family cars
Landrover all the way.
Anyways, back to more important matters, what is the likelihood of getting a discount from LR on their extended warranty?

Apart from tyres and service parts.

I have had a Haldex unit fail, repair cost £1,958 and a rear diff. bearing fail, repair cost £536, in the 4th year of ownership. Mileage still not reached 21,000.
