No DAB i'm afraid. The word 'Digital' refers only to the quartz tuning on analogue radio.

The 8th digit has been mentioned before and like you I have read it to be either 'A, B or C' and then mine reads 'E', didn't make sense then and now.
As originally replied in the second post, his car would only have a DPF for that model year if chosen as an option (high unlikely) or if the car was an export model, and it would be quicker to look underneath the car.
