Germany 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Alaska White

Mine had all the badges when I picked it up, even though I told the dealer to take them all off Confused Confused

Still since they washed it twice, and put so much tyre dressing on it the wheels were like mirrors (again asked them specifically not to put any on), but overlooked the fact they had forgotten to put any fuel in it, or failed to notice the rear window wiper was stuck at an angle of 30 degs I was clearly asking too much. Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Any sold in Norway (not many these days) have not been badged for ages (at least since last autumn). The main reason is standard equipment, priceing and model names I guess, which are very different to the UK. For example HSE, SE etc do not exsist any longer here. Maybe it is the same for other parts of the world - different model names to suit the market Question
Maybe LR save a lot of cash by making it easier not to badge all models regardless for the market they are intended.

Still if UK owners want an exclusive badge on the boot, I guess you can always pick one up at Halfords Whistle 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Hi

Just joined the forum and just bought a 2009 Freelander 2 2.2TD4 Auto HSE. Colour Stornoway Grey and a really beautiful car with loads of gadgets. Did notice that there was no HSE badge on tailgate and when I asked the main dealer was told that Landrover do not put the badge on the Auto just the Manual. Is this right?? Because it just didn't sound convincing to me! Laughing

My 59 plate TD4 Auto was badge less when I viewed it. I had the dealer add the badge as part of the deal.

Who cares if there is a badge or not, as long as you have the car YOU want and not the car you want the neighbours to think you have !

My old boss always bought badges for his Merc that indicated a better model 320 instead of 230 etc

All madness to me , just drive the bl**dy thing

Don't know if this still applies, but it used to be that some firms had a rigid hierarchy in company cars - the more senior the better the model. Firms like Merc and BMW therefore offered the option to badge up or badge down, meaning you could have a better spec (presumably if you paid extra) and not annoy the boss, or the boss could be cheapskate but still look good.
That was a long time ago mind.

I unbadge mine myself - just get the hairdryer out and heat the FREELANDER 2 and HSE /GS/XZ TD4/SD4 badges and they peal off. Can't be doing with all that cr@p cluttering up the back of the car. Same applies to dealer adverts with bloody stickers all over the place - they all get taken off my cars.

I would leave the Freelander 2 badge on IMO.

The worse piece of rubbish is actually the number plates, cars look much better without them too.
