Mine had all the badges when I picked it up, even though I told the dealer to take them all off

Any sold in Norway (not many these days) have not been badged for ages (at least since last autumn). The main reason is standard equipment, priceing and model names I guess, which are very different to the UK. For example HSE, SE etc do not exsist any longer here. Maybe it is the same for other parts of the world - different model names to suit the market

My 59 plate TD4 Auto was badge less when I viewed it. I had the dealer add the badge as part of the deal. |

Who cares if there is a badge or not, as long as you have the car YOU want and not the car you want the neighbours to think you have !

Don't know if this still applies, but it used to be that some firms had a rigid hierarchy in company cars - the more senior the better the model. Firms like Merc and BMW therefore offered the option to badge up or badge down, meaning you could have a better spec (presumably if you paid extra) and not annoy the boss, or the boss could be cheapskate but still look good.

I unbadge mine myself - just get the hairdryer out and heat the FREELANDER 2 and HSE /GS/XZ TD4/SD4 badges and they peal off. Can't be doing with all that cr@p cluttering up the back of the car. Same applies to dealer adverts with bloody stickers all over the place - they all get taken off my cars. |

I would leave the Freelander 2 badge on IMO. |

The worse piece of rubbish is actually the number plates, cars look much better without them too. |
