I had thule/Jaguar cross bars and a Thule/Jaguar roof box so decided to fit LR roof rails myself and re-use them after checking roof box company website.

I agree with "mork", the FL2 looks cleaner without the roof rails and it seems a bit pointless fitting them unless you need to carry stuff on the roof the whole year round. In addition they DO cause wind noise when driving with the sunroof open ![]() As I need to carry skiis on the roof during winter, I opted for Thule normal style bars and feet which are quickly fitted or removed when needed. Any roofbox can also be easily be fitted to these as well of course - The Thule alternative is also MUCH cheaper than the LR alternative and saves having noisy wind breaks on the roof all of the time ![]() Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

I have not noticed wind noise with my roof rails either - fitted them myself ![]() Is it possible that roof rails on FL2's causing wind noise have been badly fitted or maybe sunroofs are the problem - I do not have one ![]() Maybe we should have a poll on roof rails with wind noise to help LR solve the problem for owners who have it ![]() |
