I'm going to get some snow foam. All you need to do is spray it on, leave it for a minute or two, then rinse off. It's like a pre-wash that gets most of the dirt off. If your feeling lazy It would be fine to just snow foam the car and leave it.

The snow foam is mainly used to take off the grit/sand etc prior to washing. Spray it on, leave it for a little while to run off but don't let it dry. I would recommend the 0.6 or litre bottle. You only need about an inch of the snow foam in the bottom of the bottle, then fill it up with warm water. |

Would also have to recommend moving any other cars out of the way, or moving yours away from the house / garage / garden / hedges etc.

You won't be disappointed with it, just takes a few times to get the settings right, so that the foam consistency is reasonably thick. I have been using one from the DW group buy since January on my D4, spray it on, leave it for 15- 20 minutes then pressure wash it off again. The idea is that as the foam drips off the car it takes the dirt away with it. If you do not want to leather the car after, you can buy a water spot filter, you then give the car a final rinse with this device connected to the hosepipe and when the car dries there will be no spotting on the windows or paintwork. I have been using the one in the link below for the last few months when the car dries it is immaculate. http://www.waterspot-filters.co.uk/ Slightly off topic, but I tried the snowfoam out on the conservatory last week (and the window above it) and it left that really clean too - lot more foam though |

Cheers - had a lance some time back which essentially fell apart, and never got around to replacing it. Now, with an ultra-slick finish from a sealant, I'm hoping it'll cut down wash times somewhat (don't have much time with a toddler running around these days, but still want a nice shiny car... !). Will have a look at the filters - very hard water around here, so anything's a bonus.
Might be off topic, but that sounds like a fantastic idea! |
