karcher snow foam lance

Thinking about getting a snow foam lance for my karcher K6.50
Just looked at a few videos on YT and all they seem to be doing it foaming the car and jet washing it strait back off
Is this all you need to do, or do you go over it with a MIT...
And what difference does the snow foam lance do that washing the car your self don't Question Question

I'm sure members on here use a karcher snow foam lance to wash their cars so i would be grateful if someone could tell me if its a good buy Thumbs Up

And if yes it is a good buy, whats the best one to have Wink BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

I'd be interested too.
I nearly bought one on Saturday at Stafford classic bike show & jumble for £10. I thought I'd already spent enough though. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

I'm going to get some snow foam. All you need to do is spray it on, leave it for a minute or two, then rinse off. It's like a pre-wash that gets most of the dirt off. If your feeling lazy It would be fine to just snow foam the car and leave it.

I haven't currently got a pressure washer, but I will have one soon. Smile

I currently have an Autobrite snow lance on order from the group buy over on DetailingWorld.com.

These are supposed to be one of the best lances on the market, and are much better than the standard Karcher ones.
With a decent wax or sealant on the car snow foam can get the majority of dirt off with little to no effort.

The snow foam is mainly used to take off the grit/sand etc prior to washing. Spray it on, leave it for a little while to run off but don't let it dry. I would recommend the 0.6 or litre bottle. You only need about an inch of the snow foam in the bottom of the bottle, then fill it up with warm water. Thumbs Up

Would also have to recommend moving any other cars out of the way, or moving yours away from the house / garage / garden / hedges etc.

Snow foam has a tendency to go everywhere and although it shouldn't harm anything can create quite a clean-up job.

Thumbs Up

I believe the newer krcher brand ones have a mixer valve now.

Personally I pre mix mine strong so it hangs on for ages which is what you want as long as it does now dry.

I get my concentrate from elite car care....

You won't be disappointed with it, just takes a few times to get the settings right, so that the foam consistency is reasonably thick. I have been using one from the DW group buy since January on my D4, spray it on, leave it for 15- 20 minutes then pressure wash it off again. The idea is that as the foam drips off the car it takes the dirt away with it.

If you do not want to leather the car after, you can buy a water spot filter, you then give the car a final rinse with this device connected to the hosepipe and when the car dries there will be no spotting on the windows or paintwork. I have been using the one in the link below for the last few months when the car dries it is immaculate.

Slightly off topic, but I tried the snowfoam out on the conservatory last week (and the window above it) and it left that really clean too - lot more foam though Laughing

Cheers - had a lance some time back which essentially fell apart, and never got around to replacing it. Now, with an ultra-slick finish from a sealant, I'm hoping it'll cut down wash times somewhat (don't have much time with a toddler running around these days, but still want a nice shiny car... !).

Will have a look at the filters - very hard water around here, so anything's a bonus.

Might be off topic, but that sounds like a fantastic idea!
