According to Autocar LR are reviewing their policy on which vehicles will be getting diesel/electric hybrid technology...from memory the plan was for the top end RR because of their high emissions. Hopefully LR have twigged that if you can afford a RR you can afford the fuel/car tax/ BIK etc. Whereas LR are losing company car drivers at the other end (FL2) because of their high CO2 and because of employers company car policies |

I'd certainly buy a hybrid FL3 or whatever they call it. |

why? they dont make energy just save a bit of regenerative energy. Any benefits being negated by the weight of the batteries and the heat/energy loss involved in charging the battery .

@CG - why?.....because of the tax on company cars that employees have to pay...I guess it must be something like...an employee in 40% brackets will be taxed @40% on 26% of the cars list price each year. Hybrids are down in the 11 or 12% areas...makes a bit of difference in which car you choose...also employers are stipulating that their fleet must have reduced CO2...many have set maximums of 110 or 120 CO2...rules LR out completely doesn't it....dwindling market that they can't ignore |
