I've tried both Shell V-power and BP ultimate and to be honest found no difference in performance and in fact a slight drop in mpg. Far better to save your money. Have you tried going down the 2 stroke in diesel route? I've found that DOES make a difference re quieter engine and 'cleaner' performance |

I use V Power in mine, definitely better, you wont notice an immediate effect if going form standard to V but you definitely notice it going the other way, probably needs a couple of tanks to clear the system.

I've only ever used Shell V Power or BP Ultimate, even in France. I once put supermarket diesel into my old RRS and the drop in power and sluggishness was noticeable. Never used it since. Also only put V power/Ultimate into my Mini Cooper S Works. These fuels have extra cleaning agents in them and a better burn rate (more energy converted to movement). Save pennies using supermarket slops if you want to, but for a piece of kit which cost me well over £30K the marginal additional cost of buying decent fuel to burn in it doesn't amount to anything. |

Won't use Supemarket fuel, I've found I lose 2 to 3 mpg and performance is down compared to branded fuel and that's not just on Freelanders, we tested it on the the vehicles at work and found the same. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

It's OK Big Al, it's only tongue in cheek banter, I get amazing mpg at 60, better with V power but the extra power and smoothness its negated anyway as I tend to use it. Your terrain wont help but those figures are very good.
