I got some "spend £40 and get 12p off a litre of fuel" vouchers through the post from Sainsburys. I even got another voucher with 10p off a litre as they were doing a promotion! |

One of the reasons I have kept ours so long is that it doesn't have a DPF. But then again, the Mrs does a 15 mile motorway trip to work twice a week in her so I doubt I would have issues with a DPF anyway.

Annoyingly it seems they won't put the petrol in the UK FL2 for a few reasons:

This is not true. Petrol Evoques take up a small percentage of build capacity. You are right that LR has the perception about there not being a market in theUK though. But the FL2 2.0 Turbo petrol has been built in right hand drive for a good while now, they use it innJapan and Australia/New Zealand. The petrol FL2 I drove was a RHD Japanese spec. I'm not that interested in who, why or what may say what at LR...just bloody annoyed they won't build the car I want but will for other countries - however I do hold the eu to blame for starting the mess. It may well force me to another marque which is a shame after 4 freelanders. |

Once the new 'hot fire' engines are in production we may see a petrol in the next generation Fl. I believe it will be on the same princeiple as the Ford Eco Boost engines, small capacity but high power output. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

Actually, the 2.0L petrol engine is a consistently higher runner than the Dw12 for Evoque This month it is (+/-) 6200 petrol versus 4300 diesel. The rest of the year is similar. |

I was at the dealer the other day here in Oz and they said 2nd hand FL2 petrols can be had very easily, they are collecting them, whereas the diesels don't get traded and are scarce. The petrol is also considerably cheaper. My feedback is they are too thirsty. |
