All I received when I collected my FL 2, nearly three months ago was a verbal explanation by the Salesman and the LR Assist telephone number.

There was a reply card in my pack for LR Assistance (along with the plastic card), which said that a welcome pack would be sent to me. I only posted it last week, so nothing yet.

I phoned Landrover assistance and everyone should have a membership pack sent out virtually straight away with their membership card in etc.

I received my membershipcard from Landrover assistance this week (through the postwomen). Have the car since end of January ! Luckily I didn't need it during this period. Enjoyed every minute of using the car even with the minor troubles (start and cracks). |

So, I would still need my AA cover along side this free cover for three years?

You do not need AA cover - LR Assistance comes with car and applies in UK and Europe. I have used it in past on my Disco without problems - thankfully not on FL2. You just ring assistance number and give reg of vehicle, name and location. My FL2 had card in glovebox with Tel No - all you need. See :- http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/Owners/Yo...stance.htm and for european travel :- http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/Owners/Yo...nCover.htm |

my understanding is you only need the LR Assist number for UK & Europe.

Are they as able to give quick assistance as the AA though for example?

I got a LR assistance card with my new FL2. LIke earlier posts have already said, as long as you have the phone number you do not need the card as the LR Assistance just need your reg plate when you call, all FL2's have 3 years warranty so the date of registration will confirm to them whether or not you are covered.
