The AT2 is the old pattern and has never been available in the 235/65x17 size.

Just had 4 new General Grabber ATs fitted through Black Circles (AJS being too far away - sorry Andy!). First impressions are good - they feel a bit sharper than the Avon Ice which were on, and there's no discernible increase in noise. The tread pattern looks like it will be good on mud and at clearing water too, despite the wet braking rating, and they were sure-footed on this mornings damp and in places icy roads. Using General Grabber UHPs mainly because I dont do a lot of off road driving but do drag a caravan around. However during this extended winter in the borders the tyres have performed flawlessly in all conditions. I even had them up a steep eroded farm track on rock and mud covered with snow without problems. Everything is relative to my point of view |

Just had 4 245/70/17 Grabber AT's fitted. Not gone offroad yet but theres no extra noise over the old standard road tyres it came with.

General Grabber AT 255/65R18 x5 - Just completed a road trip to many parts of the Drakensberg (SA) of some 2,500 km of which 70% was on gravel, rutted roads and in some places quite rocky and corrugated. However, I wished that the tarred roads were also gravel as at a tyre pressure of 1.7kpa the ride was very comfortable although I sensed a bit of understeer. The vehicle has also been lifted (body lift only) by an additional 15mm so this quite possibly affected the feel. Average speed some 60kmph and found that the tyres performed very well indeed. No visible sign of damage to side walls. No change to wheel alignment and found steering quite normal - no veering to either side. Fuel consumption 8.7l per 100km. Early days just yet. |

That looks like it could be interesting without low range. Rocky gradients up to 1 in 3, hmm. Do let us know how you get on. And good luck! |

Thank you, certainly don't intend being a hero. I think the saying "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots but no old, bold FL2 pilots"! would be well worth remembering. |
