Anyone know the best way to compost horse manure? I can get some free from a stables close to work. I've google'd it but i'm getting a few conflicting reviews. Ive currently 3 big garden waste bags full of manure, do I just keep turning the stuff over or is there a better way of composting it? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Will need a good few months to break down, how soon do you want to use it, it can be worked direct in to the ground as long as your not planting anything, as it can be quite strong.

Are you trying to use the methane produced to run your FL2?

If your putting it on your gardens .......

Horses don't digest seeds and any weeds they have eaten will remain and one day adorn your garden, cows on the other hand do digest them and all is well

horse manure is only good for growing weeds get cow manure 1995 P38 now dead

My horse produces about a barrow a day

As already said, it needs to left to break down for a good few months ( it can get very very warm ) but once it's composted it's pretty good and is quite soil like in consistency.
