I think that memory seats are standard for the XS, but now on MY13 models they aren't even electric.

That's my point.... I'd rather have that fill the gap... I may remove the screen I may not either way I'd just call the LR version functional .... T PS have a look at waze .... its actually a good navigation system.... would be better with dot warnings but there are a lot of uk users... I thought memory was use only.... I went for a higher milage hse my self rather than xs just for the toys. It was worth it.... and let's face it these cars are built to last do if you get a good service history your sorted. If the dealer wants to sell they will find a way but I'd expect them tohelp you break even rather than book price. T Edit first para was supposed to be .... thought memory was on hse only.... dam phone does not like this site so can't edit Terran 'The' Car For The Modern Day UK Roads ( ie all the pot holes ) 'A Freelander that leaks oil is just marking its territory' - Wise words Now a member of the FL2 'Silly Bill' Club |

ccsnet, it is my understanding that memory only came on hse, my reply was to the post that xs had memory, having just got a xs with electric I confirmed that they don't have have memory seats, nor the drop down mirrors when reversing, (part of the same package)

I thought the XS had everything I needed ... until I parked next to an HSE one day. Probably looked like a kid licking a sweet shop window Now - Black 2012 FR2 SD4 XS really miss the RRS

The dealer who took my 59-plate S in part-exchange 2 weeks ago has just put it on his forecourt at £4500 more than he paid.

I guess that's my issue with trying to sell my (not even) one year old GS - people looking may think they may aswell stretch themselves a bit more and spec up exactly what they want in a new car.

I previously spoke to a dealer, and was told on top of the small things that needed fixing for the sale, the years warranty and required things to do with this were £1500, then don't forget the dealer has to pay his VAT on any profit, soon makes them not make very much at all Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

EDIT: PS to above. Same dealer has a 62-plate 3-door Evoque 'Dynamic' (diesel) at £48,000! You could get a lot of brand new car for that money. |

Fair point about the VAT. I think I'm more likely to ring round lots of dealers to get the best trade-in quotes for my GS then alter my private sale advert for £500-1000 above it and see if there's any takers.

That's why I sold my d3 to dealer for 2k more than the dealers up here wanted to pay for it, then got a spanking deal on a my11 60plate xs, and money in the bank,

Dickie: sounds like your requirements are very similar to mine. Although I was after the SD4.

Given what was said about cars less than a year old falling into a category all of their own really, maybe the best thing to do, Dickie, is to find a dealer with an HSE or similar spec that is only months old (in fact circumstances similar to your own)
