Single stone chip is a DIY job, you will more than likely get more quite soon.

Cheers Taz, I was thinking that by the time I've spent 20 quid on a touch up kit bought some 2000 grit etc it might be as cheap to pay someone, it must have been a piece of road grit as there is a brown muck trace. It's only a couple of mil but as I know it's there it might as well be an inch 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

I know what you mean but the sooner you get some paint on it the better, especially with all the salt on the road/ car.

Heres a thought and please dont take it the wrong way.....company car, does it matter? Or do you as an employee get charged for it when it is returned to the lease company? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Certainly on our fleet scheme we are very clearly told we are responsible to return the vehicle against the fair wear and tear criteria, together with all sorts of 'helpful' advice about what falls outside fair wear and tear.

At my place of employment we have just been given new contracts of employment. One of the terms is that if you have an accident in a works vehicle you have to pay the first 250 quid of the claim. Out of the 6 company vehicles we have some people look after their cars well, others dont! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Very happy with them. They have done at least three repairs for me over the last few years. Obviously depends to some extent on the individual as with all organisations. 2013 RR Evoque Pure Tech

On our company cars normal stone chipping consistent with the mileage is regarded as a matter of course and they dont have any affect when it goes back unless of course its totally grit blasted and any odd TESCO car parking dint not more then the size of a 10p piece doesnt affect it either come hand back time, surface scratches on bumpers are ok too provided they havent gone down to the undercoat. |
