Upgraded the iPhone 5 last night to iOS 6.1.3 and now it won't connect to the freely.

Anyone else having any problems?? Any known fixes yet!?

Very strange.....I can 'discover' the car, go to pair, get the freelander to display the pairing pin but then the phone will just not connect successfully. Has been working brilliantly since Xmas eve, I update the phone and it all falls apart ha.

Have you deleted the landy profile from the phone and also the paired phone from the head unit?

If you upgraded and restored from backup it should keep the settings, bizarre it's stopped working.

I assume Apple have updated the Bluetooth protocols.

Yeh I have started from scratch thinking it would help. Hard reset, soft reset, Bluetooth off/on!!

I don't know how to pair from the stereo TO the phone. It works from the phone to the Land Rover, i.e discovers, displays the pairing pin on the stereo but then just fails to complete the connection. 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto

Remembering that Land Rover and Jaguar are part of the same company, a friend of mine is having the same problem with his Jaguar XF with iOS 6.1.2 on an iPhone 4Gs and was told to downgrade the phone to iOS 6.1. However, it's my belief that you can't downgrade your iPhone os! The engineer in the Jaguar garage actually bricked his own iPhone trying! He was also told that the software in the Jaguar wasn't the problem and that later models of the XF worked because they had more up to date hardware. My feeling is that this is completely Bull, it can only be software!

I appreciate this probably is not within your remit but.....Apple have released iOS 6.1.3 for iPhone and this has affected Bluetooth connectivity with my 2013 Freelander 2. From my other thread on here, this has also affected some Jaguar models with 6.1.2.

Obviously as customers are relying on the in built car kits it is quite frustrating.

I've seen no mention of changes to the bluetooth protocols in 6.1.3. The main purpose of 6.1.3 is to fix the lockscreen passcode vulnerability, and the only other change I've been able to find is to the Japanese mapping. So this may not be as simple as 6.1.3 not working with LR bluetooth - maybe there was a problem with the update of your device.

I'll try upgrading my phone and let you know what happens. It won't prove anything if it works, as I have a 3GS and my09 FL2, but if it doesn't...

I had a similar problem with Range Rover a couple of updates ago and ended up doing a backup/wipe/restiore of the phone which fixed it. Update obviously hadn't applied quite right.

6.1.3 on 3GS works perfectly - no need to re-pair, phone just appeared as normal. Now pretty sure there are no changes to bluetooth in 6.1.3.

Just tried an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 on my MY07 FL2 SE TD4 Manual...and...it all works!

Time to update my own iPhone I think!
