I'm confused as well. Admittedly I only called the parts department in both those dealershps but my experience was the polar opposite! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

After shopping around for prices I found differing prices as well for my fith service I was quoted 」500 from Marshals Melton Mowbray tis price included some kind of addative to make the engine last longer? Sturgess Leicester wanted 」440 Stratstone Nottingham wanted 」250 including a loner for the day they provided faultless service and more to the point did not find anything else that needed expensive attention. |

Even different branches of the same Dealer Group can be markedly different in terms of both pricing and levels of Service. |

I went to Lookers Chelmsford for a service quote and they quoted silly money. When I questioned it they offered to knock 」60 off. Surely that is taking advantage. I went to DS Automotive in Rayleigh and would recommend them. They are LR trained, use OE parts and have all diagnostics etc. They have a website you can go on and let you see the facilities before booking. They will collect and deliver to Chelmsford and charged around 」270 for 1st service.

Whenever I have my FL2 serviced at the LR dealers, around 2 weeks afterwards I get a questionaire come through from LR asking me to tell them what I thought of the service, might be good to put all your comments on one and let them know about it? |

Only trouble is if there are any software updates the indy won't be able to do them nor can he do any warranty work or any recalls that the LR Dealer will do when it's in for a service.. |

Yes, nothing stopping you from using an Indy, but if you need warranty work etc done, don't expect that little extra from the dealer. Loyalty has worked wonders for many on here. |

The above means I am not alone on this forum with my thoughts of Lookers Chelmsford. My friends and colleagues have had the similar experinces. So what is the point in waisting time responding negatively when LR contact you after servicing?
