Lovely drive but one issue.

Ok, so day 3 of ownership, and while I haven't done loads of miles, i've been in and about the car a fair bit.

Only issue i've had is that when driving, particularly on imperfect surfaces, or when cornering, there was a "groaning" coming from somewhere in the back of the car. I would have called it a rattle, but it's quite distinct from a rattle. After hours of trying to work out where it was coming from, and checking things that were maybe obvious, i've traced the groan to the inside of the roof, more specifically the left hand side of the separation between the sun roofs. If I press there with my hand, it replicates the groan. it's like sheet metal popping. This is the noise i'm hearing when driving.

Any ideas of what I could do to rectify myself, or is it back to the dealer?

I'd be straight back to the dealer myself. Something not right.

Used to come across this often when i was panel beating (panel drum).I would say it just needs a sound dedning pad sticking to the under side of the roof panel to stop it mate.

So, had the technician from the dealer out for a drive this morning. He agrees, there appears to be a "creaky roof" just at the beam between the two sun roofs. Did seem a bit miffed, and said they'll have to book it in to take some roof lining away and get a look at how the sunroof is attached to the bodywork, or something like that.
