Did you hit the mirror or was it because the glass protrudes so far out of the mirror casing? At work

Hi,
I knocked the mirror twice in a few days. This evening the glass "popped"out.
I tried to "pop" it back in, but to no avail.
I disconnected the wires for the heating element and took the glass out completely.
To the dealer or is this a DIY job...?
Any tips?
Thanks,

Hi fitted one on the drivers side and they are a pig to get on if you put some washing up liquid around the bezel you will see if you look there is some clips that clip in at the top and you have to put them in first then push quite hard to snap the bottom into place hope this helps
