2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey

Stiff Gears

I have noticed my gear shift (manual) is very stiff to move from 1st to 2nd, especially when cold. I have asked the dealer to check = no fault found.

The gear change does improve after about 10 mins driving.

any ideas/comment?

You could try oiling/greasing the gear cable linkage. Under bonnet, below battery area. Move the gear stick you will see them then. I had similar issue with our 58 FR2, was bit stiff & squeaky when changing gear. Oiled linkage, 100% OK now

I stay well away from the dealers now it's out of warranty Landy has now gone.
